Microsoft hasn’t issued any statements concerning the ban in Japan, and Japan hasn’t said anything either. The situation is a bit weird, considering the first game was allowed in Japan. These bans come even after Microsoft integrated a family friendly mode into the game to cut out some of the gore and avoid younger players from seeing the game at all.
